Snapped this one while waiting at the bus stop. Yellow taxis are indigenous to this area.
Also, congrats Dad on your last day of work!!

Day 058
I noticed a bunch of these paintings while passing a Lord and Taylor's window display. They are amazing. The paint is actually 3-D off of the canvas. They were painted by Juan Genoves.
Here's a description: Born in Valencia in 1930, Genoves is recognized for work with a style rooted in Social Realism and Pop. The paintings showcased at the Lord and Taylor exhibition depict bird's-eye views of scenes where the absence of buildings, roads, trees or clues to a common landscape create a dynamic of intensity and dislocation. Genoves's forceful use of line and perspective, aligned with an exacting eye for the modulation and use of color, is married to the artist's conviction that art should be socially engaged and emotionally, indeed, physically, engaging.
