Day 009

So this post will show my old school pride. Today was Ben & Jerry's Free Cone Day and (for all the haters) this shows that, yes, I was a scooper. Here's my proof:

After work today, I met up with Ouch and Kira and we went on a scavenger hunt as a part of the viral marketing for The Dark Knight. Unfortunately we didn't get any Joker cards, but we did get to see a new trailer for the movie and meet one of the Joker's henchmen:

So this is a "Where's Waldo" type picture of my room. Nothing too flashy... well... except for the flash. Please pay no attention to the clock since I was a tad late on my photo-taking today.

Two things I am very much obsessed with right now: Lydia's new album "Illuminate" and my dad's old Remington Ten Forty typewriter. Nothing like incorporating those two great things into a photo. This CD comes highly recommended.

This picture is very self explanatory. This is what I had for lunch today. And it was delicious. Little Italy Pizza reminds me of when Nenner surprised me at my job for my birthday! So this is my set-up on one of the little table/desks in Bryant Park...

Day 002

Today I knew just what I was looking for. I pass it almost every day and it always just looks so weird. There is a wall of enormous glass windows on the first floor of the building and behind them there is this:


A safe door with a latch and a wheel. Go figure. I also now understand the power of Microsoft Office Picture Manager's "auto correct" feature which brightened and defined this picture to the max.

Day 001

First day and the entire world is opened up to me. Looking for the perfect scene or object that will begin my 365 day journey has me on edge. I am very aware of my surroundings. During my lunch break I found the perfect opportunity and holstered my camera. When I see fire laying carelessly on the street, I can't pass it up.

Day 000

So this is my first post. Day zero. What does one say on the first day of a daunting new project? What I should be doing is asking for support and luck because a year commitment is a very long one. On this site I will be posting one photo each day for the next year. Every day = One picture. I don't think there are any other rules than that. Not only will this serve as a creative outlet, but a way to document my life. Hopefully as days are torn from the calendar, my photos will steadily improve. I'll be using an Olympus Stylus 600 digicam, so please do not expect to be blown away.
